- Profile Information: School name, course name, year of study, grade/GPA, subjects
- Verification Documents: Academic transcripts, student ID cards, tutor qualifications
- Payment Information: Processed by Stripe and PayNow (we do not store full payment details)
- Parent Information: Parent/guardian name, email, phone number, relationship to child
- Usage Data: Tutoring sessions, purchases, messages
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain our services
- To process payments and withdrawals
- To verify student and tutor credentials
- To communicate with you about your account
- To improve our platform and user experience
- To comply with legal obligations
3. Data Protection (PDPA Compliance)
We comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2012. Your data is stored securely on servers located in Singapore. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
- Active accounts: Data retained while account is active + 6 months grace period
- Transaction records: Retained for 7 years (IRAS requirement)
- Deleted accounts: Data anonymized within 90 days
5. Your PDPA Rights
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing
